According to the 2023 Instagram Engagement Report by HubSpot, there are several strategies that chiropractors can implement to boost engagement on this popular social media platform. (Hubspot, CXD Studio, 2023)

Create Compelling Content

Creating visually appealing and informative content is crucial to increase engagement on Instagram. Use high-quality images and videos that showcase your chiropractic office, services, and patient success stories without sharing any personal patient information without their permission. Incorporate relevant hashtags to increase discoverability and encourage users to engage with your posts.

Example: Post a patient testimonial video (remember to get a signed release form) and use the hashtag #chiropractic. Use additional hashtags that emphasize the problem resolved with chiropractic, like #headache #backpain #neuropathy, etc.

Utilize Instagram Stories

Instagram Stories are a great way to engage with your audience more interactively and authentically. Use features such as polls, quizzes, and question stickers to encourage user participation. Share behind-the-scenes glimpses of your office, educational tips, and patient testimonials, with their permission, to keep your audience engaged and interested.

Example: Share a video on what to expect on the first visit to your office with a quick tour. You should also post videos highlighting products you sell in your office, such as nutritional supplements, orthotics, pillows, etc. 

Engage with Your Audience

Actively engage with your followers by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions. Show genuine interest in their questions, concerns, and feedback. This will help build a strong community and increase the likelihood of users engaging with and sharing your content. 

Collaborate with Influencers

Partnering with influencers in the health and wellness industry can help increase your reach and engagement on Instagram. Look for influencers who align with your brand values and have a significant following. Collaborate on content creation, promotions, or giveaways to attract their audience and boost engagement on your profile.

Examples: Collaborating with a local gym owner or trainer and posting videos on your social platforms showing different stretches or nutritional tips to maximize your workout is a win-win. Post a collaborative video with a local restaurant owner with a healthy recipe to try at home. 

Use Instagram Reels and IGTV

Take advantage of Instagram’s video features, such as Reels and IGTV, to showcase your expertise and provide valuable content. Create short, engaging videos that demonstrate chiropractic techniques, share health tips, or answer frequently asked questions. This type of content is highly shareable and can help increase engagement on your profile.

Example: Share a video of what a pediatric adjustment looks like and the benefits to the patient. 

Analyze and Optimize Your Strategy

Regularly analyze your Instagram insights to understand what types of content resonate most with your audience. Pay attention to metrics such as likes, comments, shares, and saves. Use this data to optimize your content strategy and focus on creating more of what your audience enjoys and engages with.
